We have Formulated ideas aimed at improving water scarcity management in Mediterranean countries through innovative solutions and an integrated approach. One pivotal strategy involves establishing an Integrated Water Management Platform, meticulously designed to compile essential data crucial for effective water resource management. This platform adeptly integrates ground data and remote sensing data to tackle challenges associated with data availability. Furthermore, we're dedicated to developing novel decision support tools to streamline actions aimed at mitigating water scarcity and drought impacts in these nations.
Furthermore, we are committed to investigating the escalating social impact of water crises on populations in Mediterranean countries, with a specific focus on rural women. Our goal is to propose viable solutions to alleviate these impacts. Additionally, we are interested in implementing innovative techniques for efficient water use in agriculture and promoting sustainable water resource management through integrated hydrological modeling, coupling surface hydrological models like the SWAT model with groundwater models like MODFLOW.
Our expertise and interests align well with the goals of water management projects in the Mediterranean region, emphasizing innovation, integration, and sustainability. -
