In response to the pressing challenges posed by extreme drought in Mediterranean dry farming systems, innovative solutions are imperative. The motivation behind addressing this issue lies in the urgent need to safeguard agricultural productivity and livelihoods in arid and semi-arid environments.
My experiences can help the transformative adaptation of these farming systems through the implementation of water harvesting techniques. These techniques offer a promising avenue to effectively combat water scarcity and mitigate the impacts of drought by harnessing and maximizing available water resources.
