Seeking to be part in projects dealing with the improvement of agricultural water productivity in low-rainfall areas

The Algeria National Agronomic Research Institute (INRAA) is a public scientific and technological institution under the supervision of the Ministry of agriculture and rural Development endowed with the mandate to contribute in the development and implementation of research programs; to coordinate agricultural research activities at the national level; to participate in the development of training and development plans for research purposes; to promote research results and ensure their dissemination and use in collaboration with relevant national and international institutions. The activities of INRAA relate mainly to the following areas: Improvement and development of plant production; Improvement and development of animal production; Conservation, processing and improvement of agricultural products; Biotechnologies applied to agriculture; Economics and sociology of the agricultural and rural world.

Among Research Divisions existing at INRAA there is ''Bioclimatology and Agricultural Water Management 'Research Division''

i) participation in a consortia dealing with agricultural water mangement in drought prone areas ,
ii) we can work as well with low-rainfall agropastoral communities with which we have developped comunity integrated development plans in which there is a significant development potential for water harvesting techniques
