The Agricultural Research Center (ARC)) is a vital research center dedicated to advancing agricultural practices, developing new technologies, and ensuring sustainable agricultural development in Egypt. It conducts applied and basic research to enhance productivity, reduce production costs, and transfer new technologies to the farming community. The ARC's research activities include field experiments on irrigation levels, genome-wide analysis, pest management, and the study of crop varieties. Over the years, it has achieved significant milestones in developing new varieties, improving agronomic practices, and enhancing food processing techniques. The ARC envisions achieving a comprehensive agricultural renaissance in Egypt by 2030.

Improving Mediterranean food quality in terms of plant disease control using unique green technologies with different research skills, including:
Molecular detection of different microbial plant pathogens using different detection techniques.
RNA-based tools to control gene expression.
RNA silencing roles in plant development and defense against plant pathogens.
Synthesis of different smart safe nanomaterials and using it as antifungal agents
We are also dedicated to introduce a smart, safe and efficient solutions for plant disease control and food safety in the presence of different environmental challenges, including climatic changes -
Plant disease control, fungi, nanobiotechnology, and eco-friendly antifungal agents.
