Algeria National Agronomic Research institute (INRAA) is a public institution of scientific and technological character, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries. Its mission is to contribute to the development of research programs and the definition of mechanisms and modalities for their implementation; to carry out research and experimentation programs; to coordinate agricultural research activities at the national level; to participate in the development of training and development plans for research purposes; to promote research results and ensure their dissemination and use in collaboration with relevant institutions. The activities of INRAA relate mainly to the following areas: Improvement and development of plant production; Improvement and development of animal production; Conservation, processing and improvement of agricultural products; Biotechnologies applied to agriculture; Economics and sociology of the agricultural and rural world.
