Restoring food supply chain resiliency through the introduction of a new plant-based protein from Black-eyed peas, already adapted to warm and dry climates.
One of the major reasons for slow adaptation of plant-based protein is the gap in taste and experience that customers are experiencing. On top of that, the plant-based supply chain is being affected dramatically by global warming, leading to a real danger of food shock.
Better Pulse is going to solve both of those problems by introducing a new, tasty, and nutritious protein from the Black-eyed pea. With exclusive access to a unique variety that is compatible with modern agricultural practices, this new plant-based protein will ensure a resilient supply chain, of a tasty, nutritious protein. - Topic 1.2.1-2024 (IA) Transformative Adaptation of Mediterranean dry farming systems using water harvesting techniques to address extreme drought in arid and semi-arid environments.
