As a research group within the Faculty of Engineering, we specialize in developing fiber lasers and applying laser-based techniques for processing and diagnosis. As a research group specializing in fiber laser development and laser material processing at the Faculty of Engineering, we possess expertise in the following areas:
1-Constructing Fiber Lasers based on Yb-, Er-, and Tm-doped materials, operating at wavelengths of 1 µm, 1.5 µm, and 2 µm.
2-Conducting research and developing continuous wave (CW) or pulsed fiber lasers in the range of nanosecond (ns), picosecond (ps), and femtosecond (fs) at a wide range of the pulse repetition rate from KHz to GHz.
3-Implementing laser processing techniques, including laser marking, engraving, and drilling on diverse materials related to the food industry and agriculture.
4-Conducting Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy with our recently developed system.
5-Developing the fiber laser-assisted in food processing and food quality.
Our primary objective is to leverage our laser technology for laser-based applications and technologies, specifically focusing on enhancing food quality and advancing laser-assisted food processing methods.
