The Forest Management and Economics Laboratory at the Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems (https://www.fria.gr) in Athens, Greece, conducts impactful research in Forestry, focusing on forest modeling, forest management, timber industry, climate change, forest growth, and policy implications. Our research at the Institute of Mediterranean Forest Ecosystems (Athens) focuses on Forest Management, the timber industry, and the climate change/policy implications and estimating the effects of the increased demand for wood and environmental services on natural resources sustainability and the national economies. We have also focused our research on the relationships between forest growth and abiotic and biotic factors, mostly regarding economically important forest tree species
