We have developed our software Talsim, which is a hybrid hydrologic/hydraulic river basin model. It is designed to capture all hydrological situations from flood to drought. The model is capable of simulating spatially distributed hydrological systems with flexible temporal resolution and It was applied for both small watersheds ( 3000000 km2).
The main features of the model are as follows: Precipitation-runoff modelling, flood routing and hydraulic simulation, complex atmosphere-vegetation-soil module, unlimited configuration of reservoir operation modelling, conceptual groundwater modelling, nested modelling (high spatial resolution models embedded in coarser model environments), wetland modelling, crop water requirements estimation, water quality and temperature modelling. - Topic 1.1.1-2024 (IA) Sustainability of Mediterranean irrigated agriculture through the implementation of the WEFE Nexus approach.
- Topic 2.1.1-2024 (RIA) Effective water accounting approaches under crisis conditions: climate change and external shocks
Through joining the consortium, we can offer the following:
- Working as a partner supporting the consortium regarding the hydrological modelling, water resources management techniques, and software development.
- Modelling the complex hydrological systems using our developed Talsim Software.
- Providing IT services including database management, software development, and web platform data dissemination.
- Providing solutions related to our deep knowledge and experience related to water resources management in the light of WEFE approaches and water accounting approaches to mitigate the future climate and non-climatic shocks.
