We are an environmental NGO dedicated to driving change across multiple fronts, including food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, and biodiversity conservation. Our mission is simple yet profound: to advocate for a more just and sustainable society through impactful campaigns and projects. By engaging the public directly through diverse initiatives, we raise awareness and mobilize action on critical issues. With roots tracing back to 1985, we have played a pivotal role in Malta's environmental movement and proudly became part of the esteemed international network of Friends of the Earth in 1991. At FoEM, our relentless efforts focus on promoting alternative solutions and inspiring positive change within our communities. We actively monitor local and European policies and projects related to our campaign work by participating in the design prosess and consultations, propose recommendations, and flag problematic areas. Our work consists of course development, community gardens, training, foraging walks, workshops, pollinators, capacity building, beekeeping, and greening urban areas.
