  • Although its university (university of Mascara) has been newly created (2009), it provides courses to 24000 students through its 7 faculties. Its teaching activities cover 11 scientific fields. Its research activities are conducted through 18 research laboratories. The various courses are taught by a total of 930 permanent teaching staff.
    The University of Mascara is implementing a new development strategy, which gives top priority to the international cooperation by carrying out projects with European universities, as a partner, such as PRIMA projects, in all disciplines covered by the university. Considering this, our university is aiming to develop multiple projects.
    The region of Mascara is also known for its agriculture, the university owns a 50-hectare experimental farm.
