Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), case study of the Hodna watershed, Algeria.

The university aims to contribute to the establishment of an intellectual community comprising citizens distinguished by a high scientific proficiency. Our goal is to produce graduates equipped with self-confidence, a genuine sense of identity, and professional skills dedicated to serving the community.

Our objedtif aims to create sustainable water security within current constraints and improve conditions in the catchment area. Some important conditions for the implementation of IWRM are presented below (Source: UN World Water Development Report 3)

• Mechanisms for participation and coordination, promoting the sharing and exchange of information ;
• Capacity Building ;
• Well-defined, flexible and enforceable legal frameworks and regulations ;
• Water allocation plans ;
• Adequate investment, financial stability, and sustainable cost recovery ;
• Good knowledge of the natural resources present in the basin ;
• Comprehensive monitoring and evaluation.
