Our SME specializes in undertaking various projects aimed at enhancing agricultural practices, promoting sustainable resource management, and advancing education and research initiatives. With expertise spanning soil and water management, plant nutrition, and climate change mitigation, we disseminate our research findings through diverse channels, including training programs, seminars, and conferences, to benefit stakeholders across sectors. Our overarching goals include fostering efficient water usage, optimizing soil productivity, addressing climate change impacts, and conducting socio-economic analyses to support the sustainable development of agricultural resources.
- Topic 2.1.1-2024 (RIA ) Effective water accounting approaches under crisis conditions: climate change and external shocks
- Topic 2.2.1 (RIA ) Revitalizing agroforestry practices for sustainable land use and climate resilience in the Mediterranean region
- Topic 2.3.1-2024 (RIA ) Leveraging urban and local food systems for sustainable food systems transformation
-
During this project Topic 2.1.1-2024 (RIA*), we are planning to develop a sustainable water purification system using algae to address water scarcity and enhance water quality for agricultural and household use. Our objective is to integrate innovative technologies into existing infrastructure to promote sustainable water management practices in the Mediterranean region.
In the project Topic 2.2.1 (RIA*), our objective is to enhance water efficiency by revitalizing soil health and employing advanced techniques such as hydrothermal carbonization. By enhancing soil structure and fertility, our project aims to optimize water absorption and retention, thereby bolstering sustainable agriculture in arid and semi-arid areas. Similarly, we aim to integrate innovative technologies into existing infrastructure to foster sustainable water management practices in the Mediterranean region.
Our domestic biogas system directly addresses Topic 2.3.1 (RIA) by providing cost-effective and sustainable technology to reduce food loss and waste in Mediterranean food systems. By efficiently converting organic waste into biogas and fertilizer, it offers a practical solution to repurpose food scraps while promoting environmental and energy sustainability. -
