Restoration of degraded agricultural soils in the oases of the Sahara in North Africa

Laboratoire de Génie de l'Eau et de l'Environnement en Milieu Saharien is Research laboratory at Ouargla University. Its mission is to seek solutions to problems relating to water, soil and the environment in the arid regions of the Sahara.

We are looking for partners who are interested in the restoration of agricultural soils in arid and semi-arid areas (Farming systems 1.2.1-2023 (IA)) . In fact, we are interested in restoring the productivity of degraded soils in the oases of southeastern Algeria and the Tunisian oases with the aim of making oasis agriculture a key factor in food security and socio-economic stability of oasis populations.
