Purification and characterization of food bioactive components from foods and agri-food wastes
My skills include the purification and characterization of bioactive compounds including proteins/peptides, lipids and metabolites from foods and related matrices. We have also expertise in performing experiments of simulated digestion and characterization of digests to assess the fate of food components in human body. For these purposes we use high resolution analytical techniques including liquid chromatography (HPLC), electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry.
