Find Partners

We seek to be part of a consortium as a collaborating partner. We are experts in assessing the effects of contaminants on terrestrial and aquatic organisms using in vitro and in vivo bioassays.
The Ecotoxicology group conducts the ecotoxicological evaluation of contaminants in representative soil and aquatic organisms of different trophic levels. We use bioassays at several levels of complexity, from in vitro (cell lines) to in vivo with either single species or multispecies (higher level assay). These tools can assess the impact of individual contaminants or complex mixtures of unknown composition such as effluents, reclaimed water, sewage sludge, organic amendments…, usually applied to agricultural soils for watering or increasing the content of soil organic matter. Our group also focuses on the potential transference of these contaminants from soil to water and vice versa, as well as from soil to soil organisms (i.e. plants or invertebrates). The Ecotoxicology group is part of the Environment and Agronomy Department of INIA.
