We are looking to join a consortium working on the topic 1.2.1-2022 (RIA) “Developing integrated soil data for the Mediterranean Region: a gateway for sustainable soil management” and/or Topic 1.1.1-2022 (IA) “Sustainable and integrated management of natural and artificial water storages and distribution infrastructures”.
We have accumulated specific knowledge in the soil resources in arid environment (i.e. the Sahara desert, Algeria), the most agricultural soil use is oasis agrosystème. Our expertise includes digital soil mapping approach, modeling soil hydraulic properties using pedotransfer functions, biological soil crusts, soil microbiome, biological diversity and soil organic carbon, water quality and hydrological modeling of surface and groundwater systems.
We aimed particularly to assess soil quality in the Sahara desert environment.
