Monitoring of soil water content and capillary pressure; automated data quality control methods; modelling of hydromechanical behaviour of soils
We are looking to join a consortium working on the topic 1.2.1-2022 (RIA) “Developing integrated soil data for the Mediterranean Region: a gateway for sustainable soil management”. We have experience in monitoring soil data such as water content and soil suction in both the positive and negative range. We have successfully implemented our sensors for the monitoring of natural slopes (as part of the Interreg Alcotra project AD-VITAM) and agricultural soils (as part of the European Marie-Curie project TERRE). We have developed a monitoring network by using marketable water content and soil suction sensors, whose measurements are controlled by an automated data quality method based on the comparison between the measured and predicted soil behaviour.
