Water is our most precious resource, and its sustainable management is critical for the development of the Mediterranean region. On the occasion of the United Nations World Water Day, PRIMA and ENI CBC Med (the Cross-Border Cooperation initiative implemented by the EU under the European Neighbourhood Instrument) are organizing their first joint webinar under the title “A United Mediterranean for a Sustainable Management and Use of Water.”

The webinar will take place on 22 March 2023, from 10:00-12:30 CET, and will bring together experts, project representatives, stakeholders, and policymakers from the Mediterranean region to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the efficient management and use of water in the region.

PRIMA and ENI CBC Med share a common vision: promoting cooperation, sustainable development and shared prosperity in the Mediterranean region. Through this webinar, the two programmes aim to raise awareness of the importance of water management and encourage dialogue and collaboration among key actors in the region.

The webinar will include keynote speeches from experts in the field, as well as panel discussions and interactive sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences and ideas and learn from each other’s best practices and success stories.

The event will feature several projects to show tangible examples of innovation solutions to address to the water challenges, including PRIMA projects MEDSAL and SALAM-Med, as well as ENI CBC MED projects AQUACYCLE and PROSIM.

The event will count on the presence of Octavi Quintana Trias, Director of PRIMA Secretariat, who will address welcoming remarks and Marco Orlando (Project Officer at PRIMA -Thematic Area Water Management), who will wrap up the event concluding with a few key elements of actions.

The webinar is open to all interested stakeholders, including policymakers, researchers, NGOs, and civil society organizations.
