The Oilseeds Research Institute, located in Osmaniye, Türkiye, operates under the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), a governmental research organization. The institute is situated in the Mediterranean climate zone and focuses on applied agricultural research, crop improvement, and sustainable farming systems.
The institute has approximately 500 decares of experimental land, greenhouse facilities, and well-equipped laboratories for soil, water, plant, food, and molecular biology analyses, supporting crop improvement, stress response studies, and molecular characterization. Research activities are supported by smart agriculture technologies, including sensor-based irrigation systems, climate monitoring, and UAV-based crop observation.
Research activities cover crop production, molecular characterization, plant stress response, irrigation management, soil and water resources, and precision agriculture. The institute has strong experience in field validation, crop response evaluation under stress conditions, and Mediterranean agriculture.

We are seeking to join a PRIMA 2026 consortium as an agricultural validation and field implementation partner. Our institute aims to contribute to field validation and semi-controlled greenhouse trials, crop response evaluation, molecular characterization, and stress monitoring under Mediterranean climate conditions.
We are particularly interested in collaborating with partners working on smart irrigation, desalination technologies, remote sensing, digital agriculture, and ICT-based monitoring systems for crop stress, diseases, and pests. Our institute can support multi-crop field trials, including soybean, sunflower, and peanut, and provide infrastructure for testing innovative technologies under Mediterranean field conditions.
We welcome collaboration with universities, research institutes, SMEs, and technology developers to support pilot studies, validation activities, molecular studies, high-throughput phenotyping, and demonstration of innovative solutions for Mediterranean agriculture.
Our institute is located in the Mediterranean region of Türkiye, providing ideal environmental conditions for pilot testing and demonstration activities under Mediterranean field conditions. We are open to joining existing consortia and contributing to field validation, demonstration activities, multi-location trials, as well as plant breeding, molecular characterization, and high-throughput phenotyping.
We are particularly interested in long-term collaboration within PRIMA and other Horizon Europe projects related to climate-resilient agriculture, smart irrigation, sustainable farming systems, crop improvement, and precision agriculture.
