We are seeking participation on a consortium. We offer: i) active molecules to improve economic value of agronomic perishable products. ii) expertise in technology transfer. Iii) expertise in plant-microbe interactions. https://www.biotecnologia-vegetal-microbioma-ceu.es/ As experts in plant-microbe interaction, we have a large collection of beneficial bacterial strains. Some of these strains are effective biofertilizers for agriculture increasing plant resilience to environmental stress (drought stress among others). Our background in plant secondary metabolism has been included in our resarch on medicinal plants and we have shown how these beneficial strains are able to increase concentration of specific secondary metabolites of pharmacological and/or industrial interest. Furthermore, delivering bacterial strains or derived molecules during the postharvest period has resulted in i) extended shelf life of fruits (berries) and in ii) improved plant extracts (rosemary, olive leaves) with better bioactive effects based on in vitro tests and in cell cultures. We are seeking participation on a consortium. We will provide the know-how and materials to improve economic value of perishable mediterranean agri-food products as well as the agronomic side products (prunning residues). We have experience on field trials, isolation of active molecules, deep plant analysis (genomics, transcriptomics) and transfering technology to SME (4 licensed patents)
