It is a Moroccan institution focused on research, innovation, and education, located in Ben Guerir.
The project seeks to establish a multidisciplinary consortium combining expertise in advanced materials, environmental engineering, agriculture, and system integration to develop and deploy decentralized Atmospheric Water Harvesting (AWH) systems adapted to Mediterranean conditions.
Collaboration is primarily sought with:
Academic and research institutions specializing in porous materials (e.g., MOFs, hydrogels), thermodynamics of adsorption, and atmospheric processes, to optimize sorbent performance and water productivity.
Industrial partners and technology providers with experience in water systems, adsorption technologies, and scale-up engineering, to support prototype development, manufacturing, and field deployment.
Agricultural stakeholders and end-users (e.g., experimental farms, cooperatives) to validate the system under real conditions and assess irrigation performance and operational constraints.
Digital and modeling partners to integrate meteorological data, optimize adsorption/desorption cycles, and improve system efficiency through predictive control.
The collaboration will be structured through clearly defined work packages, including material development, system design, pilot-scale validation, and techno-economic assessment. Field trials will be conducted in representative Mediterranean environments (e.g., semi-arid agricultural sites in Morocco), ensuring alignment with regional climate and water scarcity challenges.
This collaborative approach will enable the integration of fundamental research with applied engineering and end-user validation, ensuring both technological feasibility and practical relevance. It will also facilitate knowledge transfer, capacity building, and future scalability of AWH solutions within Mediterranean agricultural systems.
