We are excited to invite you to Session A2 at the Dresden Nexus Conference 2025, where we will explore critical discussions and share insights on a robust definition of the Nexus and its application in Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) frameworks.
This session will take place on April 9, 2025, from 12:50 to 14:20 (CET), and it will also be live-streamed, allowing a wider audience to participate remotely.
Why Attend Session A2?
The Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus is increasingly recognized as a vital framework for addressing the complex interconnections between these essential resources. However, since the 2011 Bonn Conference, various definitions of the Nexus have emerged, but no universally accepted definition exists. This lack of consensus presents challenges in applying the Nexus consistently across different disciplines and sectors. A clear, comprehensive, and practical definition is essential to enhance the utility of the Nexus for policymakers, funders, academia, and practitioners.
Session A2 will contribute to creating a robust and actionable definition of the Nexus by leveraging lessons learned from real-world applications and case studies of the WEFE Nexus and the Resource Nexus.
