Our intention is to join a future project with goals related to collecting or transmitting data offline without needing an Internet connection. Our IoT (Internet of Things) services with LoRaWAN offer a complete solution for collecting, storing, managing and analyzing data collected in the field through generic and specific sensors (temperature, moisture, O2, pH,…etc) in a variety of applications. Together with our partners, we can create a customized approach that will enable them to reap the full benefits of the IoT. For this future project, then, we could potentially draw up a specification perfectly tailored to the specific needs in the agricultural field. Here, at DataCup, we are determined to propose low tech solutions that are useful, sustainable and easily accessible to anyone. DataCup is already a partner on the CombiFarm project which is funded by PRIMA. The goal of CombiFarm is combining low-cost biochar, biogas, and cyanobacteria fertigation technologies with low-input crops for sustainable bioproducts in smart circular farming systems. It develops and demonstrates integrated smart farming systems in real conditions at selected pilot sites near Constantine, Algeria, Settat and Dakhla island, Morocco, as well as Tunis, Tunisia. DataCup was involved in the development of an IoT gateway with standard sensors (temperature, pressure, humidity) and specific sensors (methane, water flow and level, pH) tested in the GEPEA-CNRS laboratory. We will also deploy an IoT-enabled DataCup at the pilot site in Settat, Morocco (in offline or asynchronous mode). In order to help farmers in their decision-making process, we also developed a DataCup data visualization web interface.
