We have expertise in bioenergy production (biomethane, biohydrogen, bioelectricity) from organic waste/wastewater, as well as in integrated water and nutrients management. We are skilled in developing biotechnological applications that bring value to resources, wastes and by-products, aligned with the circular economy and industrial symbiosis concepts We work at the Centre of Biological Engineering, a research unit integrated in the Portuguese Science and Technology System, located at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal). We combine fundamental science with Engineering to obtain value-added products or processes in the Agri-Food, Biotech and Environmental sectors.
