University with well equipped research laboratories

Our laboratories are well-equipped for extraction of bioactive compounds from food-wastes and determining their functional, chemical and physical properties. In addition to using traditional methods for the extraction of bioactive compounds, we are capable of using supercritical CO2 extraction methods. Our university has two supercritical fluid extraction systems (one is pilot-scale and the other is lab-scale). We are also highly-experienced for the extraction of complex carbohydrates from agricultural products (foods and wastes) and determining their chemical and physical structures and functional properties (including their impacts on colonic microbiota and subsequent health effects in vitro and in vivo). We are also experienced with in vivo (mainly mice and rat models) and clinical trials. We are also experienced with prebiotics and probiotics. If a consortium needs any of the above-mentioned analysis, we are happy to be a partner.
