Staff within our investigation group have extensive experience of working on national and international collaborative projects. Owing to its partnerships and close collaboration with others national academic institutions and agencies, Moroccan farmers, SMEs and the agro-industry sector, our group works together with a well-established network of partners both in the government and private sectors which represent a great asset particularly in data collection and ensuring stakeholder engagement for survey studies and demonstration. The team member’s technical expertise that covers various aspects of farming systems, healthy foods processing and their quality and authenticity control, sustainable Lifestyles, promoting Mediterranean diet throughout investigating Mediterranean food’s bioactive compounds and their health-promoting proprieties, and the valorisation of food by products.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR ORGANISATION:
The Moroccan School of Agriculture (National School of Agriculture in Meknes (ENA)) founded in 1942 is the oldest agronomic and food sciences higher education institution in Morocco. Since its founding, it has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of Moroccan agriculture and agro-food sector through training future agricultural engineers with specific skills and knowledge in diverse areas of modern agriculture: environmental science, agricultural engineering, horticulture engineering, crop production engineering, agribusiness, rural development engineering and agricultural water management engineering.
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area will devise new R&I approaches to improve water availability and sustainable agriculture production in a region heavily distressed by climate change, urbanisation and population growth
