In 2024, PRIMA is embarking on a transformative journey by integrating the WEFE Nexus approach into all its thematic calls. This strategic decision stems from the recognition that existing threats to natural resources, heightened by globalization, necessitate a comprehensive and interconnected response. PRIMA acknowledges the imperative need for a comprehensive and interconnected strategy to address these issues effectively. The integration of the Nexus approach across all thematic calls aims to contribute to the overall security and sustainability of the Mediterranean region. By providing a framework that facilitates informed decision-making, PRIMA seeks to ensure the balance of trade-offs and synergies, preserving the integrity of ecosystems.
