Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (IOF), Split, Croatia is seeking to join a consortium in preparation for the PRIMA 2026 Call, Topic 1.2.1-2026 (IA): “Next Generation of Sustainable and Alternative Animal Feeds for Circular and Resilient Mediterranean Farming Systems.” IOF is particularly interested in connecting with a lead partner or an emerging consortium looking for a research partner with expertise in sustainable aquaculture, aquafeed development, and validation of alternative feed solutions for farmed fish. Our team can contribute to activities related to: testing and validation of sustainable feed formulations in aquaculture species; evaluation of alternative ingredients, including circular and by-product-based feed materials; assessment of nutritional performance and applicability in Mediterranean aquaculture systems; contribution to pilot-scale or demonstration-oriented work involving sustainable feed solutions. IOF has experience in research on innovative aquafeeds, alternative protein sources, and circular approaches to feed development, with relevance for Mediterranean farming and food systems. We are especially interested in joining consortia where our expertise can support the validation, demonstration, and practical testing of next-generation feed solutions within a broader multi-partner proposal.
