Seeking Consortium Partners / Enhancing the Sustainability of Agricultural Water Infrastructure through High-Performance Polymer Materials
The CTPC is a leading research and technology center in Morocco specialized in polymer materials, rubber, and composite engineering. While rooted in plasturgy sciences, the center has developed a strong cross-sector positioning, enabling it to address complex challenges across multiple industrial and environmental domains. Recognized as the national reference in plasturgy and the only center in Morocco providing integrated expertise in this field, CTPC extends its competencies beyond materials to support system-level applications in sectors such as building and construction, water infrastructure including drinking water and ACS piping systems, agriculture, aerospace, packaging, medical applications, and recycling systems.

DESCRIPTION

CTPC (Technical Center for Plastics and Rubber, Morocco) is seeking to join a consortium dedicated to innovative solutions for sustainable water management in agriculture, particularly in saline and water-stressed environments. As a national reference center in plastics engineering, CTPC provides advanced expertise in polymer and composite materials for the characterization and validation of components used in water treatment, storage, and distribution systems. Its approach is based on comprehensive material performance validation through mechanical testing (tensile tests, compression tests, Charpy impact tests, Melt Flow Index (MFI)), thermal analyses (Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), Oxidation Induction Time (OIT)), and physico-chemical ageing resistance assessments. The center ensures solution reliability under extreme conditions through durability analysis, long-term behaviour evaluation, and resistance to saline and chemical environments. KEY CONTRIBUTION • Validation of polymer and composite components for water treatment and irrigation systems • Mechanical, thermal, and chemical characterization of materials under saline and pressurized conditions • Durability assessment through accelerated ageing tests and thermo-oxidative analyses (DSC, TGA, OIT) • Mechanical performance analysis (tensile tests, compression tests, Charpy impact tests, MFI) • Assessment of recycled and bio-based materials with validation of stability and performance
