Seeking Consortium Partners – Developing Circular Solutions for Agricultural Feeding Systems through Advanced Materials
The CTPC is a leading research and technology center in Morocco specialized in polymer materials, rubber, and composite engineering. While rooted in plasturgy sciences, the center has developed a strong cross-sector positioning, enabling it to address complex challenges across multiple industrial and environmental domains. Recognized as the national reference in plasturgy and the only center in Morocco providing integrated expertise in this field, CTPC extends its competencies beyond materials to support system-level applications in sectors such as building and construction, water infrastructure including drinking water and ACS piping systems, agriculture, aerospace, packaging, medical applications, and recycling systems.

DESCRIPTION

CTPC is seeking to join a consortium dedicated to the development of circular and sustainable agricultural systems based on the valorization of alternative resources. The center mobilizes its expertise in polymer engineering to optimize systems for the storage, packaging, and processing of organic materials. Proposed solutions are validated through comprehensive characterization of mechanical properties (tensile tests, compression tests, Charpy impact tests, Melt Flow Index (MFI)), thermal behaviour (Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Infrared Spectroscopy (IR), Oxidation Induction Time (OIT)), and transport properties (thermal conductivity, transmission analysis). Material safety and compliance are ensured through advanced chemical analyses, including migration tests, Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) for heavy metals, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography with UV detection (HPLC-UV), and Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), ensuring compatibility with agri-food and environmental applications. KEY CONTRIBUTION • Characterization of mechanical, thermal, and transport properties of materials • Chemical safety validation through migration tests, ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma), HPLC-UV, and GC-MS analyses • Integration of bio-based and recycled materials with performance and durability control
