We are a research institute specialized in remote sensing (Earth Observation Center of DLR). Our team has competencies in time series processing in Earth observation (EO), archive data analysis for long-term monitoring of surface dynamics, dynamics of water bodies and vegetation. Our team processes satellite archives (e.g., Copernicus, Landsat) and develops algorithms to detect changes relevant to water and land surface dynamics.
Topic 2.1.1-2026, Remote Sensing, satellite, land cover, land use, land-use change, climate change, climate variability, drought monitoring, drought early warning, long-term monitoring, vegetation, ecosystem monitoring, non-perennial watercourses, river basins
We are interested in participating as project partner in Topic 2.1.1-2026 (Non-Perennial Watercourses). We offer to contribute remote sensing derived products and analyses, e.g. mapping non-perennial watercourses at country level, providing agricultural and land-use change information, development of methods to map the spatio-temporal footprint of management and restoration measures. Provision of further satellite based data and information is also possible. Please feel free to contact us as project partner for Topic 2.1.1-2026.
