The National Water Research Center is the research arm of the Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources, it is responsible for formulating water policies. The center conducts numerous research studies to support the ministry’s various projects, including hydraulic studies of canals and drains, rainwater harvesting and flood protection studies, pumping station studies, groundwater studies, climate change studies, as well as diverse research experiments, physical and mathematical modeling, and studies related to non-conventional water resources.

We offer technical proficiency in the design and validation of decentralized/centralized brackish water desalination systems, specifically those integrated with photovoltaic (PV) energy to ensure resource efficiency. We are seeking collaboration with partners with complementary expertise in advanced desalination technologies, AI-assisted decision support systems, developing sustainable brine management strategies, IoT monitoring, and smart agronomy to co-develop climate-resilient solutions for the Mediterranean region.
