AquaValor is a Portuguese R&I centre operating at the intersection of environmental sustainability and digital technologies, developing integrated solutions that combine sensor systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced data analytics to transform environmental and operational data into actionable decision-support tools. Aligned with PRIMA 2026 priorities and the WEFE Nexus approach, AquaValor focuses on smart water management, sustainable agri-food systems, and ecosystem resilience, with particular emphasis on real-time monitoring, resource efficiency, and digitalisation of environmental processes. Its activities include water treatment and reuse, circular bio-based valorisation, and the deployment of ICT-enabled monitoring platforms for agriculture, water systems, and food value chains. By bridging biotechnology, environmental sciences, and digital innovation, AquaValor enables the development of scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance system performance, safety, and sustainability in Mediterranean contexts.

AquaValor seeks to join a high-impact PRIMA consortium as a technology-driven partner specialising in IoT-based environmental monitoring, data integration, and decision-support systems. The organisation aims to contribute to the design and implementation of smart monitoring frameworks for water, agriculture, and food systems, integrating sensor networks, real-time data acquisition, and predictive analytics. AquaValor can support the development of digital twins, early warning systems, and optimisation tools, enhancing efficiency, traceability, and resilience across WEFE systems. In addition, AquaValor brings complementary expertise in water reuse, microbiological safety, and bio-based resource valorisation, enabling end-to-end solutions from data collection to validation and real-world deployment. AquaValor actively seeks collaboration with partners in ICT, engineering, agri-food industries, and environmental modelling, to co-develop scalable, high-TRL solutions with strong implementation pathways and measurable impact.
AquaValor is a flexible and innovation-driven partner with strong experience in multidisciplinary R&I environments and international collaboration. The team is particularly suited to contribute to digitalisation-focused work packages, including system integration, data management, validation, and impact assessment.
