NERC is seeking to join or co-develop a PRIMA consortium focused on advancing practical, high-impact solutions in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and the water-energy-food (WEF) nexus. The center is particularly interested in collaborative projects that move beyond theory into pilot implementation, demonstration, and scalable deployment across the Mediterranean region. NERC aims to partner with universities, research institutions, technology providers, industry actors, and NGOs to co-design and implement innovative solutions in areas such as solar and wind integration, bioenergy applications, energy-efficient systems, and renewable-powered water and agricultural solutions. Within a consortium, NERC can contribute through applied research, field testing, and validation of technologies under real conditions. The center offers strong capabilities in system design, energy audits, techno-economic analysis, and Measurement and Verification (M&V), ensuring that project outcomes are technically robust, cost-effective, and measurable. NERC is also well-positioned to support pilot project implementation in Jordan and the wider MENA region, providing access to local contexts, stakeholders, and demonstration sites. In addition, the center contributes to capacity building, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder engagement to ensure long-term impact and replicability of results. The proposed collaboration is built on a shared goal: delivering innovative, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions that address regional challenges and align with PRIMA’s mission.
