The Mechanical Research Center (CRM) is an institution of excellence under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS) in Algeria. Development of innovative mechanical solutions for the energy, agriculture, and transportation sectors. Transitioning from digital design to the creation of functional prototypes (Proof of Concept). Failure analysis, material characterization, and diagnosis of complex systems. Study of material strength, fatigue, and corrosion (metals, polymers, composites). Essential for equipment durability in harsh environments (e.g., desalination). Design of automated systems, mechatronics, and non-invasive control systems (UAV/Drones). Mastery of fluid mechanics, high-pressure pumping systems, and the energy efficiency of machinery. Computer Numerical Control machine tools for the fabrication of complex parts. Tensile, hardness, and microscopy testing equipment for material analysis. High-performance computing stations for fluid and structural modeling.
CRM offers its expertise in robotics, mechatronics, and autonomous systems (UAVs/Drones) for the development of non-invasive crop monitoring platforms. We propose to design and manufacture robust mechanical carriers equipped with ICT sensors for pest and disease detection. Our team excels in automated control systems and structural optimization to ensure reliable drone operations in diverse agricultural landscapes. /
We seek partners specialized in AI-based image recognition, agronomy/plant pathology, and IoT data analytics to integrate their software solutions into our mechanical flight and ground platforms.
The CRM has a proven track record in developing mechanical solutions specifically adapted to the North African and Mediterranean climates. Our expertise in managing high temperatures and salinity ensures that the mechanical prototypes developed (desalination units or drones) are truly climate-resilient and durable in real-world agricultural conditions. Unlike purely academic labs, the CRM possesses its own industrial-scale CNC machining facility and rapid prototyping workshops. This allows us to significantly reduce the time between numerical design and physical testing, ensuring a faster development cycle for Proof of Concepts (PoC) within the project’s timeframe. Strategically located in Constantine, the industrial heart of Algeria, the CRM serves as a hub between major mechanical industries (e.g., agricultural machinery, energy) and the university ecosystem. We can facilitate on-site pilot testing and provide access to diverse agricultural zones for large-scale validation of project results.
