Our team is embedded within a public university institution combining advanced research and higher education, bringing together a multidisciplinary group of researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and engineers. We have strong expertise in food processing, microbiology, post-harvest loss reduction, sustainable food systems, and agri-food valorisation, supported by proven experience in more than six PRIMA-funded projects and a solid track record in Mediterranean agri-food systems. We are currently seeking to join or co-develop a competitive consortium under PRIMA 2026, specifically targeting the following Agro-Food Value Chain topics: Sustainable On-Site Transformation of Perishable Mediterranean Agri-food Products (IA) Empowering Mediterranean Food Value Chains through Context-Aware Digital Traceability (RIA) Our key contributions include: Development and validation of on-site processing solutions for perishable products adapted to Mediterranean conditions Microbiological analysis, food safety assessment, and shelf-life extension strategies Design of circular bioeconomy approaches for agri-food by-product valorisation Integration of digital traceability systems (IoT, QR codes, blockchain-ready frameworks) for transparent, interoperable, and context-adapted value chains Our team benefits from an extensive and operational stakeholder network in Morocco, enabling co-creation and rapid uptake of innovations, particularly within smallholder and cooperative-based systems in semi-arid environments.
