The Laboratory of Biology, Water and Environment (LBEE: https://lbee.univ-guelma.dz/) hosts multidisciplinary research teams dedicated to advancing Agri-Food Sustainability through integrated and innovative scientific approaches. The laboratory combines expertise in biology, environmental sciences, agronomy, and water resource management to address key challenges related to sustainable agriculture, food security, and ecosystem protection. Our research activities are structured around the Agriculture-Food-Environment Nexus, promoting holistic and systems-based solutions that link sustainable agricultural production, efficient water management, and environmentally responsible food systems. Through interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and applied innovation, LBEE aims to contribute to the development of resilient agri-food systems, support evidence-based policy making, and foster sustainable development at regional, national, and global levels.

The Laboratory of Biology, Water and Environment (LBEE) seeks partners to participate in PRIMA programme calls, focusing on agri-food sustainability, water resource management, and environmental protection in the Mediterranean region. LBEE aims to contribute its expertise in the Agriculture-Food-Environment Nexus, sustainable agriculture, and environmental monitoring within international research consortia.
Although a young team, we have solid experience in managing international projects, particularly European-funded initiatives, having participated in FP7, Erasmus+, and Horizon projects. This experience equips us to contribute effectively to international consortia and collaborative research.
