The leather making operation consists of converting the raw hide or skin, a highly putrescible material, into leather. the whole process involves a high water consumption in a time of increasing drought and water scarcity, a water-intensive industry can’t afford to neglect water recycling and reuse, which can reduce water usage significantly.
