TU Berlin – Workgroup for Infrastructure Policy (WIP) is an interdisciplinary research group specialising in energy systems analysis, sustainability transitions, and climate policy. The group combines advanced modelling of integrated energy systems with policy analysis and socio-economic assessment to support evidence-based decision-making. Its expertise includes sector coupling, renewable energy integration, and hydrogen-based systems, with applications in the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystems (WEFE) nexus. WIP has strong experience in EU-funded projects, including Horizon Europe and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), as well as PRIMA (e.g. EMPowerMed project) and LEAP-RE (e.g. MG-Farm), focusing on sustainable energy solutions for agriculture and rural systems. The team works at the science–policy interface and has international experience across Europe, the Mediterranean region, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
We are seeking to join a consortium under PRIMA Topic 1.4.1-2026 (CSA) to contribute to the institutionalisation and scaling of WEFE Nexus Communities of Practice. We aim to support cross-sectoral governance and policy uptake through integrated modelling, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Our contribution includes developing analytical frameworks linking energy, water, and food systems, supporting scenario analysis and decision-making tools, and facilitating knowledge transfer between regions. We are particularly interested in contributing to capacity building, co-creation processes, and pilot case studies across the Mediterranean and Africa, ensuring inclusive, scalable, and policy-relevant outcomes.
We bring strong experience in interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and EU project implementation (Horizon Europe, PRIMA, LEAP-RE, MSCA), with a focus on bridging science and policy. Open to contributing to coordination, dissemination, and stakeholder engagement activities within the consortium.
