Located in the CEBB (European Center of Biotechnology and Bioeconomy, co-funded by the ERDF, the Grand Est Region , the Marne department and Urban Community of Grand Reims) at the heart of the Pomacle-Bazancourt biorefinery, the URD ABI is interested in the valorization of biomass through an approach combining biotechnologies, green chemistry and process engineering.

Our team has strong expertise in the valorisation of agricultural biomass, with a focus on the extraction, fractionation and characterisation of bioactive compounds (e.g. phenolic compounds), biopolymers (cellulose, hemicelluloses, lignine…) and lipids etc.
We develop green and sustainable extraction processes and contribute to the development of innovative bio-based products for applications in food, cosmetics and materials.
We are interested in contributing as a scientific partner, particularly in work packages related to biomass processing, extraction technologies, and bioactivity assessment.
We are open to collaborations with universities, research centres, SMEs and industrial partners.
