The National Water Research Center (NWRC) is Egypt’s leading governmental research institution dedicated to sustainable water resource management across the MENA region. Our multidisciplinary approach is driven by a collaborative network of twelve specialized research institutes: the Water Resources Research Institute, Water Management Research Institute, Research Institute for Ground Water, Hydraulics Research Institute, Environmental and Climate Change Research Institute, Drainage Research Institute, Coastal Research Institute, Nile Research Institute, Survey Research Institute, Mechanic and Electricity Research Institute, Construction Research Institute, and the Channel Maintenance Research Institute.
Together, these twelve institutes allow us to cover the entire water cycle. Our core technical expertise spans hydrology, groundwater sustainability, saltwater intrusion modeling, and climate change impact assessment. We are also actively leading digital transformation initiatives within the water sector. By combining advanced scientific modeling with practical field implementation across our extensive network, NWRC stands as a robust and highly capable partner for piloting innovative water technologies, building institutional capacity, and executing large-scale transnational projects within the PRIMA framework.
