We have established a small insect farming unit designed to valorize food waste and convert it into value-added products for soil health and animal nutrition. The unit features automated temperature and humidity control and comprises three compartments: feedstock preparation, rearing, and larval development (composting). It also has an air-extraction system. Our current research focuses mainly on developing frass- and protein-based solutions for soil health enhancement. We are also open to collaborating on the development of safe, market-ready alternative animal feeds, particularly for the pet and aquaculture sectors.
