Biotechnology and Sustainable Development of Natural Resources Laboratory (B2DRN)
Sultan Moulay Slimane University, Polydisciplinary Faculty, Beni Mellal – Morocco
The B2DRN Laboratory is a research unit dedicated to the development of innovative biotechnological solutions for the sustainable management of natural resources under Mediterranean conditions.
The laboratory focuses on advancing sustainable agriculture and environmental resilience through interdisciplinary research at the interface of plant biology, microbiology, and soil science.
Its main research areas include:
Development of biofertilizers, biostimulants, and bioformulations
Study of plant–microbe interactions (PGPR, rhizobia, endophytes)
Enhancement of crop tolerance to abiotic stresses (drought, salinity)
Biological control of biotic stresses
Integration of climatic, soil, and water data for field-based optimization
B2DRN combines laboratory, greenhouse, and field-scale experimentation, aiming to translate scientific findings into practical, scalable solutions for farmers.
The laboratory actively contributes to climate-smart agriculture and aligns with international initiatives such as PRIMA, supporting collaborative research and innovation across the Mediterranean region.

PRIMA collaboration
I am seeking to develop or co-integrate PRIMA project consortia focused on climate-smart agriculture, sustainable crop production, and bio-based innovations.
My expertise includes:
Design and development of biofertilizers, biostimulants, and advanced bioformulations (PGPR, rhizobia, silicon)
Plant–microbe interactions and microbiome engineering
Field-based applications guided by crop water requirements, soil, water, and climatic data
Validation of stress-resilient crops under Mediterranean conditions
I am particularly interested in collaborations that involve:
Joint development of bio-input solutions
Multi-location field trials and scaling
Integration of laboratory, greenhouse, and field research
Knowledge exchange and capacity building
Through collaboration, I aim to contribute to innovative, field-ready, and sustainable solutions that enhance crop resilience and productivity in Mediterranean agroecosystems.
