Geneina is interested in working with international partners through the PRIMA Programme in the co-development and scaling of innovative solutions in the areas of sustainable water management, energy efficiency, and agroecology in the Mediterranean region. The partnership will be in the areas of nature-based solutions, water footprint and virtual water analysis, and intelligent control solutions in the optimization of resources in greenhouse and open-field agriculture. This will include energy-saving solutions in climate control in agriculture. Geneina will be involved in the field implementation of the partnership, with testing and validation of the technologies in real-world conditions in Egypt.
Furthermore, strategic partnerships have been established with Benha University as a scientific partner in developing and validating mathematical models and crop growth models, and with large-scale commercial farms as operational partners in conducting experiments, resource optimization assessments, and economic analysis.
Geneina is also open to flexible collaboration modes such as co-developing proposals, managing work packages, and technical contributions to several phases of a project under the PRIMA Programme.
The organization is particularly interested in collaborations that put a strong focus on implementation, rapid prototyping, and upscaling of solutions that have been validated. Geneina has strong deployment capabilities in Egypt, which can help partners test their solutions in a representative Mediterranean context.
