The UDES/EPST-CDER, located in Tipaza, north of Algeria, is a public research organisation specialised in the renewable energy technologies and sustainable energy systems. The UDES was established in 1988.
The mission of UDES is to conduct applied research, technological development and innovation in renewable energy systems. It acts in:
1- Carry out design, sizing and optimisation work on renewable energy equipment for the production of:
heat, electricity, cold and water treatment;
2- Carry out all studies and research of technological processes development for manufacturing prototypes, equipment and pre-series.
3- Establish technico-economic and engineering studies to set up pilot installations in order to ensure the transfer and mastery of new technologies;
4- Set up characterisation, testing, quality control and compliance techniques in order to ensure the qualification, approval and certification of the developed equipment.
