Turning Agricultural Innovation into Scalable Reality in Climate-Stressed Mediterranean Systems – Looking for a consortium to Join
MENA Hydroponics is a field-driven technology integrator and implementation partner delivering scalable, climate-resilient agricultural solutions across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with a strong focus on arid and water-scarce environments. The company specializes in translating innovation into practice, bridging the gap between research and real-world deployment through pilot implementation, system validation, and large-scale replication. It supports the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and system design to turnkey implementation, operation, and capacity building—ensuring that solutions are not only innovative, but also deployable, economically viable, and ready for scale. MENA Hydroponics has extensive hands-on experience in deploying controlled environment agriculture (CEA) systems, including hydroponics, advanced greenhouse technologies, precision irrigation, fertigation, and climate control. These systems are specifically engineered to address key Mediterranean challenges such as water scarcity, salinity, and climate variability, enabling high productivity with optimized resource efficiency. Through its portfolio of implemented projects across Jordan and the Gulf region—including hydroponic greenhouse systems, irrigation and fertigation infrastructure, and donor-funded agricultural interventions—the company provides real operational environments for piloting, testing, and demonstrating innovative solutions under practical field conditions. MENA Hydroponics collaborates with research institutions, international technology providers, and development organizations, contributing to innovation uptake, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building. Its role within collaborative projects is to ensure that proposed solutions move beyond concept level toward implementation, validation, and replication across Mediterranean agri-food systems. With strong regional presence and implementation capacity, MENA Hydroponics is positioned as a key partner for PRIMA Section 1 projects, particularly in sustainable production systems, water-efficient agriculture, and post-harvest and value-chain innovation.

DESCRIPTION

MENA Hydroponics seeks to join high-impact PRIMA Section 1 consortia where innovation is expected to move beyond research and be demonstrated, validated, and scaled under real Mediterranean conditions. We position ourselves as the partner that converts concepts into operational reality, ensuring that project outcomes are not confined to technical development, but translated into deployable, field-proven solutions with measurable impact. Our collaboration focus is centered on working with research institutions, technology providers, and industrial partners to support: • Pilot implementation and real-scale demonstration in arid and semi-arid environments • System integration of innovative technologies into fully functional agricultural and agri-food systems • Validation under operational conditions, including performance, resource efficiency, and economic feasibility • Scaling strategies and replication models, enabling uptake across Mediterranean regions • Farmer engagement, training, and adoption pathways, ensuring long-term sustainability beyond the project lifetime We bring the capacity to host and operate real demonstration environments, where solutions can be tested under water scarcity, salinity, and climate stress conditions, which are critical for PRIMA’s target regions. MENA Hydroponics is particularly interested in collaborations addressing: • Sustainable and resource-efficient production systems • Water-smart agriculture and integration of alternative water sources • On-site and decentralized solutions for post-harvest handling and value addition • Technologies approaching deployment stage (TRL 5–8) requiring validation and scaling Within the consortium, our role is to ensure that innovation does not stop at proof-of-concept, but advances toward implementation, validation, and large-scale adoption, bridging the critical gap between research outputs and real-world impact.

REMARKS

MENA Hydroponics is a results-driven implementation partner ready to contribute actively from proposal development through to field deployment and scale-up. We are equipped to support technical design, pilot planning, and real-scale implementation, ensuring that proposed solutions are practical, testable, and ready for replication. We provide access to real operational environments and demonstration sites under Mediterranean conditions, enabling partners to validate solutions where they matter most—under water scarcity, salinity, and climate stress constraints. Our team brings proven experience in international and donor-funded projects, ensuring efficient coordination, clear communication, and reliable delivery across multidisciplinary consortia. We are particularly interested in collaborations where innovation is expected to translate into measurable field impact, adoption by end-users, and scalable solutions beyond the project lifetime. We are open, responsive, and ready to engage—both in consortium building and proposal preparation—to strengthen project design and maximize implementation success.
