Consortium Partner / Work Package Leader in Sustainable Water Treatment, Desalination, and WEFE Nexus Solutions
The National Research Centre (NRC) is Egypt’s largest multidisciplinary research institution, providing advanced scientific and technological solutions in water, energy, environment, and sustainable development. The centre plays a key role in applied research, innovation, and technology transfer, with strong international collaboration experience in EU-funded and regional projects related to desalination, water treatment, renewable energy, and climate resilience.

We are seeking to join or build a strong interdisciplinary consortium targeting PRIMA Nexus calls, particularly in decentralized brackish water desalination and integrated WEFE Nexus solutions.
Our team offers expertise in:
Advanced desalination technologies (RO, batch RO, energy-efficient systems with pressure recovery)
Solar-powered and hybrid renewable energy integration
AI-driven optimization of water treatment systems
Photocatalysis and advanced oxidation processes for water purification
Sustainable agricultural water management and reuse
Climate-resilient and resource-efficient water systems
We aim to contribute as a Work Package Leader or Technical Partner, focusing on system design, pilot implementation, performance optimization, and sustainability assessment. We are also interested in integrating digital tools, sensor technologies, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
Extensive experience in international collaborations, including EU and bilateral projects. Strong capacity in pilot-scale implementation, field validation, and technology transfer in Mediterranean and arid regions. Open to coordination roles and strategic partnerships with academia, industry, and policy stakeholders.
