Fumihogar is a Spanish SME specialized in advanced fumigation technologies for agriculture, agri-food systems and environmental biosecurity.
The company has developed proprietary solutions based on dry microdispersion technology, enabling the controlled release of bioactive compounds in enclosed environments such as livestock facilities, storage units, and post-harvest infrastructures.
Fumihogar combines:
Strong technical expertise in fumigation and pest control
Experience in applied R&D and EU projects
Capacity to adapt technologies to different agro-environmental contexts
The company is currently coordinating the LIFE project focused on sustainable biofumigation solutions, reinforcing its innovation and implementation capabilities at European level.
Fumihogar is seeking to join consortia for PRIMA 2026 calls, particularly under topics related to:
– Sustainable agriculture and food systems
– Animal feed and welfare
– Post-harvest management and food safety
We offer our dry microdispersion fumigation technology as a cross-cutting solution that can be integrated into different types of projects.
Proposed contribution
1. Biosecurity in livestock systems
– Reduction of airborne pathogens in animal housing
– Improvement of environmental hygiene
– Support to reduction of antibiotic use
– Application in poultry, livestock and intensive farming systems
– Dry treatment of silos and feed storage systems, enabling:
– Control of microbial contamination
– Prevention of spoilage and mycotoxin development
– Improved feed safety and quality along the value chain
2. Animal wellbeing (respiratory wellcare)
– Improvement of air quality (reduction of particles, microbial load, irritants)
– Reduction of respiratory stress in animals
– Contribution to better welfare and productivity
– Improvement of feed conversion ratio (FCR) through:
– Reduced respiratory stress and inflammation
– Improved oxygenation and metabolic efficiency
– Lower disease pressure and better overall health
3. Autonomous post-harvest treatments
– Natural fumigation systems for storage environments
– Reduction of spoilage organisms and contaminants
– Extension of shelf life
– Development of autonomous and scalable treatment systems
4. Circular and sustainable approaches
– Use of natural and bio-based compounds
– Reduction of chemical inputs
– Compatibility with circular bioeconomy strategies
