Envisad (Environmental Smart Devices) is a Spanish technology startup specialising in advanced aquatic monitoring systems. We develop proprietary hardware and software solutions that integrate specialised sensors, cloud data platforms and intelligent analytics to provide continuous, real-time monitoring of water quality and aquatic dynamics.
Our product portfolio includes autonomous smart buoys with multi-sensor arrays, submersible systems for deep-water environments, and a cloud-based data platform with configurable alerts and automated reporting. All solutions are modular and adaptable to diverse aquatic environments: rivers, reservoirs, coastal zones, open ocean and industrial facilities.
Envisad combines in-house electronics development, oceanographic sensor integration and advanced data science to deliver end-to-end water monitoring solutions. Our team brings multidisciplinary expertise spanning engineering, aquatic ecology, marine biology and R&D project management, with technology transfer experience from university to industry.
With over 25 projects executed, 35 deployed solutions and 15+ clients — including CSIC, Universidad de Cantabria, Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro, Tragsatec and the Irish Marine Institute — we are a recognised innovator in the water monitoring sector. We are certified as an emerging innovative technology company (ENISA), ranked among APTE’s Top 100 Startups 2024, and acknowledged by ANCES as a technology-based innovative company.
We are seeking research and innovation partners to co-develop next-generation water monitoring technologies and contribute our sensing, data acquisition and IoT expertise to collaborative Mediterranean-focused projects.

Envisad seeks to join a research consortium as a technology partner, contributing its expertise in real-time aquatic monitoring systems to support field data acquisition, sensor deployment and data platform development.
We can provide autonomous monitoring platforms (smart buoys and submersible systems), proprietary low-power sensor hardware and a cloud-based data analytics platform capable of continuous physicochemical measurements in remote and challenging aquatic environments — including intermittent and ephemeral watercourses typical of the Mediterranean basin.
Our contribution to a consortium would focus on: designing and deploying monitoring infrastructure in the field, integrating multi-parameter sensor arrays, delivering real-time data streams to research teams, and supporting the development of water quality indicators and early-warning systems.
We are particularly interested in partnering with research organisations, universities or public institutions leading or co-leading a proposal under Topic 1.1.1 or 2.1.1-2026, where our operational technology can provide the empirical data backbone needed for ecosystem function analysis and water allocation modelling.
